Young adult pastor

We are an 8 year old church plant that has grown to a church of 400 and are continuing to grow steadily.  We have a part time position (could possibly be full time if combined with other jobs) available for an individual with high-energy who can mentor, connect with, and teach young adults.  Individual applying must be able to work with many differing personalities, and must possess the ability to easily and effectively juggle many priorities and competing demands.   Must be people oriented.

 

Young adult Pastor

The Young Adult Ministry Leader will implement a comprehensive program of Christian life development for the 18 – 35 year old, college, career, single and married adults in our community. It is essential that this person be able to connect with young adults on a social and spiritual level, with the intent of coaching them towards Christ-like maturity.

• Work closely with the Young Adults to develop and encourage their spiritual growth in Christ.
• Provide guidance and support based on Biblical principles to Young Adults.
• Provide leadership for Atmosphere, Young Adult trips, retreats and classes.
• Prepare and teach at weekly Young Adult gatherings.
• Provide church-wide visibility and communication to Young Adult activities.

• Identify, develop and implement solutions to strategic needs for Young Adult Ministries.



Daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:

·         Building a Young Adult group

Planning Events

Inviting Young Adults to the group





Preferred skills:

·         Warm and welcoming

·         Adept at problem solving and critical thinking

·         Ability to focus on important information and identify key details

·         Excellent communication skills – reading, writing, responsiveness, timeliness

·         Ability to give instruction and train with clarity

·         Must possess follow through

·         Have a strong passion for the local church, and passionate about the vision of The Cause and the importance of their position to the fulfillment of that vision

·         Minor graphics understanding helpful



Individuals with the following previous experience are preferred:

·         Recruiting, motivating, and training volunteers

·         Building and leading teams

·         Event planning and organization
